Millions of Israelis are running to shelters daily as Iranian missiles strike, destroying homes, shuttering businesses, and displacing families. Since the October 7 Hamas massacre, Israel has faced relentless attacks from Iranian-backed terror groups, and now Operation Roaring Lion confronts the growing threat from Iran. With support from donors like you, Jewish Federations and trusted partners are delivering urgent relief, trauma care, and assistance to those impacted. But the need continues to grow.
Your gift will help deliver critical assistance to Israelis facing missile attacks, displacement, and ongoing trauma.
How your support is directly impacting the people of Israel:

Immediate Financial Relief for Victims
The Jewish Agency’s Fund for Victims of Terror, established in 2002 with Federation support, provides rapid financial assistance to Israelis directly impacted by attacks. After expanding significantly in response to October 7, the fund has once again been activated during the current missile attacks to help families whose homes have been damaged or whose lives have been directly affected. It remains a vital part of Israel’s emergency response network.

Mental Health Support
The constant sound of sirens and threat of missile attacks is taking a profound psychological toll on communities across Israel.

Federation partners are responding with urgent support:
-
JDC’s national mental health initiative, now operating in more than 200 municipalities, is expanding emotional support services during this escalation.
-
Tamar, an Arabic-language mental health response organization, has activated a 24-hour hotline and online crisis chat, providing psychological first aid to communities experiencing repeated alerts, especially those without adequate protected spaces.
