Only a few years ago, newcomers to our community reported that their families and friends in their former hometowns were shocked when they move to Nashville was mentioned. It didn't seem to be on anyone's Jewish map. That perception has changed dramatically as word filters back about the warmth and inclusiveness of our community, the easy accessibility to all things Jewish ( and there are plenty-just look at the attached list) and the welcome extended to newcomers.
